Overview

The carraige house, in the rear of the property, housed 4 horses, the carraige and farm tools. It now has a variety of farm tools and seaside harvesting tools. It has a second floor which we have converted into a maritime display area.

The carraige house was constructed with hand hewn timber and spars from Manasquan ship wrecks. The oldest spars are from the Amity which wrecked on Manasquan beach in 1835. The Amity was the second of the original four Black Ball packet ships. The Black Ball Line was the first company to offer scheduled trans-Atlantic service
